CONSIDERING
ELDERLY

Today, our population is ageing rapidly and living for longer. Families are becoming smaller, more fragmented and living further apart; reshaping the eldercare landscape completely.

With a 100-year life expectancy in mind, this is an ongoing, self-initiated research project to uncover insights around what it means to age in our society. The intention is to propose provocative future ideas for societies to age well, and to reframe our overall experience of ageing as positive. Numerous design concepts have so far emerged that address different aspects of ageing, for example: safety, comfort, inclusivity and personal agency. Watch the Documentary film we created about George, a 50 year-old entrepreneur who is proactively growing his support network in preparation for an enriching and inspiring old age.
